How long will the entire process take? How do I speed up my visit?

Our data shows the median time spent in clinic for Ace, Elite, Noble, Silver, Crown and Crown Plus packages is between 45 to 90 minutes.

For Royal & Jewel packages, the median time spent in clinic is between 2.5 hours to 3 hours.

To speed up your visit, we recommend visiting at 8.30AM or from 10.30AM onwards.

Are you a one-stop medical center? Do I have to visit any other places?

Our Chest X-Ray, Mammogram, Ultrasound and Bone Mass Density machines are in our medical center.

All our health screening packages can be conducted in our center without any further visits.

How long will my report be ready? Do I get to see a doctor?

Your report will take 7 working days excluding the date of your visit.

After your visit, our staff will arrange a post screening review and consultation with our doctor either at the clinic, or through Zoom or Phone. There will be no additional costs for the post screening consultation.

For Royal and Jewel packages, there will also be a consultation and physical examination on the day of the screening.

What if I cannot produce stool samples on the day of my visit?

For the stool test, you have two options:

1. Pre collect the stool bottle from our clinic a few days before.

2. Come to our clinic and do your blood test. We will pass you the stool bottle. If you cannot give us a sample on that day, you may bring back your stool bottle. On the day of the review, just bring your stool sample back, we will send it to the lab and email you the results. This will minimize your trips to the clinic.

Pre-Screening

What is health screening?

Health screening involves the use of tests, physical examinations, or other procedures to proactively detect potential conditions in our clients. This is different from diagnostic tests which are done when someone is already showing symptoms of a condition.

Why do I need to go for regular screening at the recommended frequency?

A one-off screening will only pick up health conditions that are present at the time of screening. Regular screening helps to detect conditions that may develop after the previous screening.

Chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes and cancer tend to affect individuals at certain age groups. With regular health screenings, early detection of any conditions will allow you to take action early. This enables you to have better outcomes towards managing your health.

What should I do prior to my health screening?

No fasting is required except for Ace and Elite packages. If you are fasting, only plain water is allowed starting 8 hours before your appointment.

Can I still take medication before my health screening?

Yes, you may take your medications (including those for blood pressure, diabetic and blood thinning) before your health screening.

There are certain unique tests such as thyroid medications that have recommended timings to take prior to doing the health screen. Please check with us if you have a specific query related to your medications.

What should I do if I am unwell on the day of screening?

You should not attend the screening if you are feeling unwell as this may affect your results. You may still walk in for a consultation with our doctor to get medication.

Can I undergo the Urine/Stool Test when I am having my period? (For females)

It is advisable to do the urine and stool test five (5) days after the last day of the menstruation cycle.

Can I walk in for a health screening without an appointment?

Making an appointment would allow us to prepare in advance for your necessary tests. This allows you to have a smooth and seamless experience. We are able to accept walk ins, but please text or call us to ensure we can arrange an optimal time for you. Doing so will enable you to finish your screening earlier.

Can I make the payment for my health screening package first and schedule an appointment later?

Yes, you can make the payment through PayNow. Talk to us to find out more.

Can I still have my health screening if I am pregnant?

Pregnancy causes many physiological changes in a female's body. Your gynaecologist would routinely perform relevant test at different stages of the pregnancy to see if you and your baby are well and healthy. Should you have specific health concerns during this period, please consult our doctor to find out if a health screening is necessary for you.

When is the best time to have my Pap Smear done?

The ideal time to have a Pap Smear done is at least five days following the last day of your menstrual period.

Should I stop taking health supplements before my health screening?

You do not need to stop taking health supplements prior to health screening. Most health supplements do not affect blood tests results when taken on the same day. However, if you are unsure, please feel free to check with us.

I am not sure which package to choose, what do I do?

Please feel free to approach our friendly staff or doctor for further enquiries. Health screening should be tailored to the individual risk of every patient and here at healthscreening.sg, we believe the best benefit comes when you perform a health screening only necessary for your age and body.

During Screening

How long will it take to complete the whole screening?

It will take approximately 45 minutes to 3 hours per person, depending on the complexity and number of tests performed. For instance, treadmill tests take between 30 minute to an hour to complete.

Are there drinks available at your clinic?

Yes, we do have a drinks machine which can dispense water, Milo, Coffee or Tea. However, please ensure you have completed the necessary tests before consuming these beverages.

How can payment be made?

Payment mode – Cash, NETS, Credit Card, PayNow & GrabPay can be made on the day of screening.

Can I bring my family member along for health screening or do I have to fix a separate appointment for them?

Making an appointment would allow us to prepare in advance for your family member’s tests. This allows you and your family member to have a smooth and seamless experience. As such, we strongly encourage for your family member appointments to be made before undergoing health screening.

After Screening

When will I receive the results and how do I interpret it?

You will receive your results together with explanation and necessary recommendations in 7 working days. Our team may call you to follow up. All screenings packages come with a Post Review Consultation with our doctor. What do I need to do if my result has abnormalities?

Are follow-up costs expensive at your clinic?

We believe in good and affordable healthcare for all our patients. We can also utilize company insurance and CHAS schemes. We pride ourselves in affordable and compassionate healthcare, so feel at ease to speak with us to find out about your options.

Can I use my MediSave to pay for the health screening cost?

Currently, MediSave generally cannot be used for all health screenings. However, if you are diagnosed with a chronic condition covered under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), MediSave may be used to pay for part of the outpatient treatment cost of these diseases.

What should I do after health screening?

If your screening results are normal, you should continue to go for regular screening at the recommended frequency because screening only detects health conditions that are present at the time of screening. If you develop signs or symptoms after your screening, please see your doctor and do not wait for your next screening appointment.

If your screening results are abnormal, you should follow-up with your doctor immediately even if you feel perfectly well. Early treatment and good control of your condition can result in better outcomes and prevent or delay serious complications.
