Which health screening package is best in Singapore?

A health screening package suitable for an individual takes into multiple considerations such as age, gender, previous medical history, and current medical concerns. It is difficult to generically recommend a health screening package for every individual.

However, if you are generally healthy with no significant health concerns, there are packages based on age recommendations.

For example, an individual in his/her 30s may consider taking up the Noble ($226) package. An individual in his/her 40s/50s may require more tests like ultrasounds/mammograms and select the Royal ($667) / Jewel ($1415) / Marvel ($2289) packages for a full body check up.

If in doubt, do consider speaking to a doctor.

Does the polyclinic do health screening?

It depends on the polyclinic. For instance, SingHealth states they provide screening for diabetes, hypertension and cholesterol only. The tests, if needed, would be ordered by doctors.

National Healthcare Group provides health screening such as cardiovascular risk screening, colorectal cancer screening, cervical cancer screening, breast cancer screening. Part of these, such as the cardiovascular screening, may include a blood test to check for high cholesterol and diabetes.

Please enquire with the polyclinic directly should you have a question.
