Dr Natalia Sutiman is a medical doctor committed to delivering evidence-based and
patient-focused care. She holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Duke-NUS Medical School and is
currently pursuing her Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine (GDFM).
Her clinical training spans rotations in Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine and Orthopaedic
Surgery at Singapore General Hospital, Paediatric Medicine and Children's Emergency at KK
Women's and Children's Hospital, and primary care at SingHealth Polyclinics. This diverse
foundation enables her to manage patients of all ages across a broad spectrum of acute and
chronic conditions.
Prior to entering medicine, Dr Natalia worked as a pharmacist at Tan Tock Seng Hospital and subsequently
in Clinical Pharmacology with SingHealth. During this period, she was involved in clinical trials,
therapeutic drug monitoring and genomics research. These experiences continue to inform her careful,
science-grounded approach to diagnosis and patient care.
Dr Natalia is also a published researcher with over 400 citations in peer-reviewed journals. Her work
centres on pharmacogenomics, which explores how genetic differences influence individual responses to
medications. Her research has investigated how genetic variants affect drug metabolism and treatment
outcomes in Asian patient populations across conditions including cancer and inflammatory diseases.
While her career spans extensive research and academic work, Dr Natalia has always been drawn to the
human dimension of medicine. She places great value on building genuine relationships with her patients,
listening attentively to their concerns, and guiding them through medical decisions with clarity and
compassion.
She has a particular interest in preventive medicine and longevity, and enjoys working together with
patients to make well-informed choices that support their long-term health. She also finds fulfilment in
evaluating evolving or complex symptoms and helping patients navigate diagnostic uncertainty in primary
care.
Outside of medicine, Dr Natalia enjoys hiking and has a personal appreciation for the health
considerations involved in travel
and high-altitude adventures. She also
enjoys running, yoga, meditation and mindfulness practices, and spending quality time with her loved
ones.
