Fertility Test Singapore
Fertility Test Singapore
Fertility tests may be conducted to investigate fertility concerns, or as part of aroutine screening process if the individual chooses to. These tests can be performed on both males and females and may vary from blood tests to ultrasound tests.
Fertility Deficiency Screening: Why These Nutrient Levels Matter
Before conceiving, it is vital to check if your body has the "raw materials" needed for a healthy pregnancy. Our deficiency screen looks at specific markers that directly impact ovulation regularity, egg quality, and early embryo development.
1. Folate & Vitamin B12: The DNA Duo
These are the primary drivers behind healthy DNA synthesis and rapid cell growth during the first weeks of pregnancy.
- Folic Acid (B9): Critical for preventing neural tube defects (brain and spine issues) and supporting optimal egg maturation.
- Vitamin B12: Essential for neurological health; low levels are a common factor in cycle irregularities and reproductive challenges.
2. Vitamin D: The Reproductive Hormone
Vitamin D acts as a "master regulator," helping to balance oestrogen and progesterone. Maintaining optimal levels is statistically linked to improved conception success and better clinical outcomes in fertility treatments.
3. Full Iron & Ferritin Profile: Powering Your System
Your reproductive organs require a consistent oxygen supply to function at their peak. This screen looks beyond a basic iron test to see how your body manages its reserves:
- Ferritin: This measures your long-term iron stores. Low reserves can hinder ovulation and uterine receptivity, even if your regular blood count appears normal.
- TIBC & % Iron Saturation: These show your body’s efficiency in moving iron to where it’s needed. Abnormal Total Iron Binding Capacity (TIBC) or low Saturation levels suggest your system is under-resourced, which can lead to subfertility and fatigue.
